A Favorite Remedy
People who know me always ask me "What’s your favorite essential oil.?" And yes I do get confused buy this question. So this meme is pretty accurate.
I love using EO's in my grooming practice and my personal life. I believe that we are bombarded by toxins everywhere. When we have the opportunity to do something naturally, we should.
I have so many favorite EO's for so many different things. I use EO's internally, I drink them in my water, smoothies cook with them and take them in capsule form. I also have favorites that I use directly on my skin (our largest organ), I have favorites that I add to everyday household products and more. I use them in my grooming practice DAILY. I think my favorite and most used is Lavender, or Lavandula angustifolia or officinale.
I use this so often to help soothe animals and myself. Clean and disinfect, heal and more. I even love the look of the plant itself. The beauty of the those purple buds just bring a sigh of relief. It may be one of the more known EO’s and plants. It certainly has many many useses, both in oil and plant form.
That reminds me, I think I may purchase some live plants for the Tempe location I groom out of most. I need some greenery there and Lavender just fills the air with such a lovely aroma. It is also to know to help repel fleas and ticks along with keeping other pests away. The plants themselves naturally diffuse the air with their fragrance, and relax everything that come in contact with them. When the flowers dry, you can snip them off and hang them for their fragrance or add them to natural potpourri, I like to tie them in bunches put them in gossamer bags and place them in my dresser drawers to keep away scorpions, which are prevalent here in Arizona.
